The Cortland County Board of REALTORS® Installs the 2020 Board of Directors and Officers

The Cortland Elks was the sight for the Cortland County Board of REALTORS® Installation Dinner on Friday, November 1, 2019.  Joanne Sweeney, Lic. RE Assoc. Brkr., GRI, with Heritage Realty, was installed as the incoming Board President for 2020.  Other REALTORS® installed by Past President, Shuryl Menapace, Lic. RE Slsp. with Howard Hanna, were:  Tracy Koenig, Lic. RE Assoc. Brkr. of Yaman Real Estate as President- Elect; Rose “Marie” Ferro, Lic. RE Slsp. of Hage Real Estate as Treasurer and Dana Decker, Lic. RE Brkr. of Heritage Realty of Central New York as NYSAR Director.  Jerry Hartnett, Lic. Assoc. RE Assoc. Brkr. of Hage Real Estate, Director, Jeff Guida, Lic. RE Assoc. Brkr. of SVR Realty, Director, and Jenna Gregory, Lic. RE Brkr. of Heritage Realty of Central New York, Director, were unable to attend, they will be officially installed at the November Board of Directors meeting.

Joanne’s platform is, “‘We are the Face and Voice of Real Estate.’  We are the professionals that technology can never replace.  We are held to high professional and ethical standards.”  Joanne is looking forward to her year as CCBR’s President.

One of the things the Cortland County Board of REALTORS® and its Affiliate membership takes pride in is supporting our community.  Shuryl Menapace, President, has coordinated with The Salvation Army to involve our Realtors® in the annual Red Kettle Campaign.  CCBR will also be raising money to benefit Loaves and Fishes at their Annual Holiday Gathering.  In addition, REALTORS® and Affiliate Members donate and wrap new toys that will be distributed at the annual Loaves and Fishes Christmas party, and also further that giving spirit as they help stock the pantry by donating canned goods and basics food needs.

The Cortland County Board of REALTORS® next upcoming event is the annual awards luncheon for REALTOR® of the Year, President’s Award, Community Service and Community Hero Award, along with the Golden Circle Awards, in January 2020.
