On July 27th we held another successful Golf Tournament at the beautiful Walden Oaks Country Club. We lucked out with a sunny day, had a lot of laughs and delicious food.

This year with our 50/50 raffle and Putting Contest, we were able to raise over $700 for Cortland CAPCO's SNACKPACKS FOR KIDS program to help supply nutritional food to children in need over weekends, breaks and summer vacations.

In addition, our golf outing was held to benefit Warriors of the Cross, which provides Veterans in the local area with the help they need. We were able to bring in $880 toward this program.

A special THANK YOU to everyone in attendance, Jerry Hartnett and the Golf Committee for putting this event together, Walden Oaks for hosting our tournament and to all of our AFFILIATE MEMBERS: without you, your support and contributions, this event may not have been possible, THANK YOU!!!

August 2nd marked another success for our annual CCBR Realtor Community Outreach Day. 21 Realtor/Affiliate Members and 20 children from the Bridges for Kids Cortland YWCA Program came together at Beaudry Park in Cortland for a day of games, crafts, sun, laughs, and food.

"Bridges for Kids connects adults who want to provide positive experiences to children from stressful home environments. Trained volunteers become mentors to children. The resulting relationships give children opportunities for activities that will result in increased self-esteem and a greater feeling of worth. The Bridges for Kids program began in January of 1980 as the Coalition for Children. It now provides children, ages 5 to 12, with positive adult role models."- Cortland YWCA Website

We had a beautiful day and such a wonderful time with these children from our community. Thank you to all who were involved to make this day happen!

If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by the YWCA, call 753-9651, or email Sara Earl at [email protected].
